- He's your mother's worst nightmore. Rhett "Rotten Giordano
owns 10 motorcycles, chain-smokes and routinely rides Harley
Davidsons through fires for fun.
At the American Motorcycle Jamboree,
or Am Jam, Giordano rode one of his antique motorcycles on
the inside walls of a huge, 12-foot-high wooden drum without
holding onto the bike's handlebars or any sense of self-preservation.
Centrifugal force held Rotten
and his 1927 Indian motorcycle on "The Wall of Death"
as he rode round and round inside the tanklike barrel. Eventgoers
stood on the platform ringing the top of the barrel, cheering
thedaredevil on.
"You watch me go!"
Giordano announced.
Despite recent media reports
about violence in the biker world, Giordano's performance
was the most dangerous event at Am Jam Firday. And he was
the only one in danger.
